Privacy policy
Regen Computers ("we", "us") operates regeneration.co.nz. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your personal information when you visit our website, buy from us or use our repair services. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What We Collect
- Order details. This includes your name, email, phone number, and billing and delivery addresses. Payments are processed securely by Shopify and our payment providers, and we never see or store your full card number.
- Repair and support details. This includes your contact details, device information, and the notes we need to diagnose and repair your device.
- Website usage. This includes your device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and how you found us, collected through cookies and similar tools.
- Marketing preferences. We record whether you've signed up for emails from us.
How We Use It
We use your information to:
- process and deliver orders, and arrange pickup or returns
- carry out repairs and handle warranty claims
- answer your questions
- prevent fraud
- improve our website
- send marketing emails, if you've opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- show you relevant ads
Who We Share It With
We share only what's needed with trusted providers that help us run the business:
- Shopify hosts our store and checkout.
- Payment providers process your payments.
- NZ Post delivers your orders.
- Google provides our Analytics and Ads.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) provides advertising tools.
- Our email marketing provider sends our marketing emails.
Some of these providers store data overseas, including in the United States. We use providers that protect your information to a standard comparable to NZ law. We may also share information when the law requires it. We never sell your personal information.
Your Devices and Data
For repairs, we access your device only as needed to complete the work. Any device traded in or sold to us is wiped with certified data-destruction software before it's refurbished or resold.
Cookies and Advertising
We use cookies to run the store (for example, your cart and checkout), to understand how the site is used, and to show relevant ads on Google and Meta. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly without them. You can also opt out of personalised ads here:
Storage and Security
Your information is stored securely by our providers. We keep it only as long as we need it for orders, warranties, accounting and legal requirements.
Your Rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete it, unless we're required to keep it. To make a request, email orders@regeneration.co.nz.
If you're not happy with how we handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Children
Our website isn't intended for people under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information online.
