Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use regeneration.co.nz or buy products or services from Regen Computers ("we", "us"), 4 Devon Road, Frankton, Hamilton. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms, together with our Shipping Policy, Return & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. Our store runs on Shopify.

1. Using Our Website

  • You must be 18 or older to place an order, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
  • You agree not to misuse the site. That includes breaking the law, uploading harmful code, scraping, giving false information, or trying to get around security features.
  • We may suspend or refuse access to anyone who breaches these terms.

2. Refurbished Products

  • Our computers, laptops, tablets, monitors and phones are refurbished or ex-lease, not brand new.
  • Every device is tested and data-wiped, then given a fresh operating system install. Intel 6th Gen or newer computers (and Windows 11-ready AMD models) come with Windows 11. Older models come with Windows 10. Macs come with macOS.
  • Each device is graded Pristine, Excellent, Good or Acceptable. Grades describe how the device looks only, not how it works. Product photos may be representative, and minor cosmetic marks consistent with the grade are normal.
  • Battery health and specifications are listed as accurately as we can. Batteries are consumable parts and will wear naturally over time.

3. Prices and Orders

  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
  • Prices and stock can change without notice. Most refurbished items are one-offs, so stock is limited.
  • If a product is listed with an obvious pricing or description error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
  • We may decline or limit orders, for example where fraud is suspected.

4. Warranty and Returns

  • All refurbished products come with a 12-month warranty.
  • Returns are covered by our Return & Refund Policy.
  • The warranty doesn't cover accidental damage, liquid damage, misuse, or repairs or modifications made by anyone else. Your rights under consumer law still apply.

5. Repair Services

  • We provide quotes before starting work, and won't do extra work without your approval.
  • Eligible Apple repairs come with a 90-day warranty covering workmanship and qualifying replacement parts.
  • Please back up your data before a repair. We take care with your device, but some repairs carry a risk of data loss.
  • Uncollected devices: once your device is ready, or you've declined a quote, we'll let you know by email, phone or text. If it isn't collected within 6 months of that notice, it's treated as abandoned. We may then dispose of it, recycle it or sell it to recover costs, and any data on it will be securely wiped first. Any unpaid repair costs remain payable.

6. Information on Our Site

We work hard to keep product details, prices and availability accurate, but mistakes can happen. We'll correct any errors as soon as we notice them.

7. Your Rights Under NZ Law

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. If you're buying for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act doesn't apply, as allowed by section 43 of that Act.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data, profit or business. This doesn't affect your consumer guarantee rights.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Our site may link to other websites or use other providers' services, such as payment providers and couriers. We aren't responsible for their content or practices.

10. Intellectual Property

The content on this site, including text, photos and branding, belongs to Regen Computers. Please don't copy or reuse it without our permission.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to any order placed while it's live.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
